Sony has put out yet another PS5 firmware patch that you'll need to download before booting up a game for an evening play session. Weighing in at 1.151GB, it's on the smaller side so it should not take up too much of your time. The patch notes taken from the PS5 read:
- We've improved system software performance and stability.
- We've improved the messages and usability on some screens.
There are sometimes some hidden changes that get revealed later on, so keep checking back for any updates on the latest PS5 firmware update. If you own a PSVR2 headset or the DualSense Edge controller, both have an update to download. The standard PS5 DualSense pad doesn't, however. Have you noticed anything different? Definitely more stable - hardly rocks at all now….. 😜
Yr right is more stable now, mine doesn't move an inch either now lol
Man, I really need that Share Screen for discord.
and also let other people voices allowed to recorded/streamed.
PSVR2 firmware update as well?
I upgraded to a 2TB SSD a few days ago, PSN has to update for me. 😂
Meh, i can just download it to my console while I'm enjoying my coffee ☕ I guess, ive finished with resident evil 4 remake last nite and about to start sackboy so it shouldn't be too long 😏
Excited to find out exactly how much more stable it'll be after the update xD
Ah yes, that old chestnut.
The "Remote Play connected" bug has been fixed. I am playing PS5 from a remote PS4 and on the top center area of my TV, this damn "Remote Play connected" message was stuck.
Now, the message is coming on the top right of the screen and goes away after 2-3 seconds.
Great success!
Just wondering whether and when we will see an 8k update. THE BOX PROMISES IT!
@Max_the_German it’s an unnecessary sticker… there might be an 8K output for the UI, Streaming services and some indie titles but nothing really major.
Due to the lack of 8K TVs and material it’s an unnecessary topic currently.
I wonder if this update had something to do with fixing the preload issues for future PS5 games, like the supposed to be 17.4.23 preload issues for Burning Shores expansion
@Reeneman I know, and I find this sticker both ridiculous and dumb from a marketing perspective. Why should people buy a PS5 Pro for their new fancy 8k TV when their OG PS5 is allegedly already capable? Missed opportunity.
@Max_the_German fully agree but the average consumer might go for all these stickers.
Just look at all those Soundbars and even Tablets with Dolby/Atmos sticker etc.
For a music fan this hurts but it in general it gives a marketing feeling for quality and it seems to work for the average customer.
Oh yay, more system stability! I love having to wait for my PS5 to update before gaming.
One day, after many, many...many, of these updates, the PS5 will be as stable as the Switch. Ha
